HEALTH AND EMOC CENTRE, ISMAILA

FPHC’s Health Care Centre in Ismaila(Swabi) was established in 1997 with support from the Target Community, Health department of the government of Pakistan, and other stakeholders. Over the course of time, the community contributed to further strengthening the facility and the health department was kind enough to hand over the responsibility of EPI in that union council to FPHC. The health department has also given the right of use of the building, which was an old dispensary building abandoned by the department, where this facility is functional.
In the beginning, the focus was on preventive programs along with basic health care provision. A lot of work has been done over the years to make the programs acceptable to the community and also work towards Financial sustainability which it has achieved off late.
The health Centre was developed into a round-the-clock basic EmOC Hospital in 2007 where basic EmOC services such as OPD, Labour room, laboratory pharmacy are provided at subsidized rates.
Health Centre at Ismaila has a qualified staff comprising of 1 doctor, 1 Technician, 6 nurses and a 5-member support staff including Dais, Driver and Watchmen.
